HOME > Data Center > PSA Absorption theory

The two absorbing towers in the PSA, are filled with CMS. First of all, once the pressured air is inserted into the absorbing tower A, oxygen, carbonic acid gas, and moisture are absorbed into the CMA and other nitrogen and argon go through the tower. (absorbing process)

After 2 or 3 minutes, generally, the absorbing process of the Tower A is completed, and then the pressured air is inserted into the absorbing tower B in order to produce Nitrogen in the same way. While the absorbing tower B continually carries out the absorption process, the absorbing tower A detaches the oxygen by reducing the air pressure or making no air, and then making the CMS clean. (Recycling process)

Throughout these repetitive absorbing and recycling processes, Nitrogen is continually produced.
CMS is made from the bark of a palm tree. With a unique processing method, we can standardize it to be about 4A'(Figure 1). The diameter of an oxygen molecule is about 3.8A' and that of a nitrogen molecule is about 4.2A'. Because of the difference between these diameters, oxygen is absorbed first.

Although the PSA type Nitrogen Separating Device has only a 10 year history since it was launched in the market, it has significantly developed and spread due to several advantageous features. This device is widely recognized and receives a reasonable profit due to the features as follows;
  Its gas supply is not affected from the exchanging or managing time of µî¹è, tanker(tank lorry), weather conditions, and strikes. Nitrogen gas can be continually produced at any time.

There is no erosion problems due to the exhaust gas of combustible generating equipment and no explosive danger due to the fire. So a stable supply of Nitrogen gas is possible.
  The purity of Nitrogen gas is regulated as over 99.999% in case of liquid supply (by tank lorry) and over 99.99% in case of gas supply ( by ¸öº£). Although the purity of Nitrogen gas for explosion ?beams of chemical plants is 99% available, 99.999% purity of Nitrogen gas, which is over SPEC has been provided.

Differently, you can supply Nitrogen gas with 99% optimal purity by the PSA. In other words, you can optionally choose the appropriate gas from low-purity to high-purity suitable for each purpose. You can also choose the type of machine suitable for the amount of nitrogen gas.
  There is no expenditure on the transportation of tanker (tank lorry) and storage so you can provide inexpensive nitrogen gas.

There might be some differences according to the usage condition of nitrogen gas, but this is relatively cost competitive on comparison with other cases when it is continually operated for 24 hours per day.
